Cleveland Foreclosures

Foreclosure is a process that allows a lender to recover the amount owed on a defaulted loan by selling or taking ownership of the property securing the loan. It begins when a borrower/owner fails on loan payments usually mortgage payments and the lender files a public default notice. The foreclosure process as applied to residential mortgage loans is a bank or other secured creditor selling or repossessing a parcel of real property after the owner has failed to comply with an agreement between the lender and borrower called a "mortgage" or "deed of trust".
